Position Summary
To assist and provide support to the Instrument and Electrical team on various projects utilising skills and
knowledge obtained in current engineering degree studies.
Position Responsibilities
• Check and update distillation loop drawings that have been incorrect since Distributed Control
Systems (DCS) upgrade in 2014
• Check all Loop drawings against Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs) to ensure loops are
accurate.
• Check Foxboro with DCS team to update Loop drawing info
• Remove code for disestablished tank farm and update documentation including review of logic
drawings
• Port (all sites) Motor Operated Valve (MOV) specification data
• Review and update all 22 MOV’s asset linking in the company’s Computerised Maintenance
Management System (Maximo) to ensure consistency between the MOV and Actuator (M)
assets.
• Asset datasheets to be reviewed and re-uploaded to ensure incorrect and old information is
removed.
• Reviewing prior project findings (PCR 3957), confirm suitable replacements for those identified
as in substandard condition, such as MOV-6331.
Position Qualifications
• Results driven and goal orientated
• Well organised
• Communicates well within own group and other departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Particular attention to detail
• Ability to work with others
• Self motivated and comfortable to ask for help
• Completed 2nd or 3rd year of Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering degree
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Office suite
• Fundamental knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment, including PLCs
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Full New Zealand Driver’s License
• NZ Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle as there is no public transport available to work site
