Position Summary

Lead, guide, Instrument Maintenance Engineers and Contractor team during normal operation and turnaround / Shutdown. Guide the discipline Daily/weekly/monthly maintenance plans. Ensures that team members comply with the company’s RC policies, procedures and meet Maintenance targets and KPI’s.

Position Responsibilities

-Operational Oversight: Ensure plant production, efficiency, reliability, and safety.
-Strategic Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with Instrument Supervisor to plan and implement maintenance strategies in compliance with OEM recommendations, codes, and standards.
-Efficient Maintenance Execution: Safely execute preventive, corrective, predictive, inspection, and performance monitoring maintenance activities. Emphasize resource efficiency to achieve targets.
-Accurate Data Management: Manage and report maintenance activities accurately using the company CMMS (MAXIMO).
-Fault Diagnosis and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve faults in instrumentation assets using diagnostic tests and analyses.
-Risk Assessments and Mitigations: Conduct risk assessments for instrumentation assets and apply mitigations to prevent hazards.
-Incident Management: Utilize IMS and RCA techniques to investigate equipment incidents.
-Spare Parts and Inventory Management: Efficiently manage spare parts purchasing, review inventory lists, and optimize levels.
-Collaboration with Project and Turnaround Team: Liaise with Project and Turnaround Team for comprehensive planning during plant turnarounds.
-Reliability Data Analysis: Analyze historical reliability data to identify vulnerabilities and develop action plans.
-Management of Change: Use MOC for improvements and modifications in instrumentation activities.
-Contractor Management: Manage contractor staff efficiently, ensuring safety compliance and competency development.
-Responsible Care Compliance: Ensure contractor/service providers adhere to Responsible Care requirements for enhanced safety performance and a safe work environment.

Position Qualifications

Experience/Knowledge:

-Minimum 10 years’ hands-on Instrumentation experience in Oil, Gas, or Petrochemical Plants.
-Troubleshooting Skills–Track record in successful Instrumentation troubleshooting and maintenance, with a strong grasp of reliability concepts.
-In-depth knowledge of Instrumentation maintenance strategies and adherence to Engineering Standards.
-Excellence in the maintenance and operation of transmitters, sensing elements, final control elements, Turbomachinery instrumentation, analyzers, PLCs, and Fire and Gas sensor systems.
-Work Permit Compliance: Excellent understanding of work permit systems requirements.
-Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Expertise: Excellent understanding of RCA techniques.

Education/Training:

-BSc. in Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or equivalent.

Skills/Other Requirements:

-Language Proficiency: Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
-Tech-Savvy: Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office skills, including incident reporting software.
-Analytical Drive: Self-motivated with high analytical capabilities.
-Team Collaboration: Strong team player with multicultural exposure, emphasizing ownership and safety commitment.
-Effective Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to develop, articulate, and present plans and actions.
-Documentation Excellence: Strong documentation skills, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all records.
