Ethical business conduct
Ethical behaviour is essential to building trust with our stakeholders. Our commitment to principled conduct is reinforced through clear policies, regular training, and a transparent approach to how we operate and engage externally.
Our Code of Business Conduct applies to all employees and majority‑owned subsidiaries and sets expectations for ethical behaviour across our business. It is supported by policies covering ethics reporting, anti‑corruption, competition law, conflicts of interest, harassment prevention, and the protection of confidential information.
We encourage team members to speak up about concerns through our Ethics Hotline and other reporting channels. We also conduct proactive activities such as fraud risk assessments and prohibit facilitation payments across our operations and marine shipping activities.
Responsible procurementWe take a responsible and ethical approach to procurement to uphold social and labour standards and strengthen the resilience of our supply chain. Our procurement activities focus primarily on natural gas and other feedstocks, as well as transportation, services, and contractors. We seek to work with suppliers and contractors that align with Methanex’s values and responsible practices, supported by prompt payment, supplier and contractor evaluation, and actions to address risks such as forced and child labour. |

Cybersecurity
Protecting our data, systems, and assets is a critical part of operating responsibly. We maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity program designed to detect threats, respond to incidents, and adapt to evolving risks.
Our approach is built around governance and oversight, secure plant systems, and continuous technical improvement. Through training, awareness, system controls, and incident response planning, we work to strengthen resilience against cyber threats and support the safe and reliable operation of our business.
