Position Summary
Explore the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) process globally within the company. This includes benchmarking approaches used by other companies, evaluating how AI can integrate with our current RBI workflows and platforms, and identifying relevant databases that AI models could leverage to provide additional insights.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide a research summary of AI applications in RBI across the industry.
- Evaluation of integration opportunities between AI technologies and the company’s existing RBI platforms and workflows, including potential touchpoints and technical considerations.
- Recommendations for AI-compatible databases and data sources considering industry standards, equipment data, failure histories, inspection results, and materials information.
- Presentation of key findings and proposed concept to stakeholders.
Specific deliverables
- Data Readiness Assessment.
- Proposed Data Model, Network Diagram and Workflow Mock-up.
Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Completed 2nd or 3rd year of a degree in Data Science or Engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts
- Interest in industrial reliability and inspection processes are desirable
- Strong software and database knowledge and skills
- Analytical and research experience
- Results driven, and goal orientated
- Well organized
- Communicates well within own group and other departments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to pick up and learn new things on the go
- Available transport to Methanex site in Motunui required (public transport is not available)
