Position Summary
Position Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems to support safe and reliable plant operations.
- Lead and support EIC engineering activities including design modifications, technical studies, and reliability improvements.
- Manage EIC-related plant design changes in accordance with the Management of Change (MOC) process and applicable engineering standards.
- Develop engineering solutions, cost estimates, and technical documentation for system modifications and improvement projects.
- Support commissioning, testing, and start-up activities for implemented design changes.
- Monitor and improve control system performance by identifying vulnerabilities and resolving reliability issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment and system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for control systems and instrumentation assets.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure effective execution of EIC activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and ensure systems comply with safety, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Responsible Care requirements.
- Demonstrate strong safety leadership and commitment.
Position Qualifications
-Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering, or equivalent.
-Functional Safety certification preferred (e.g., CFSP, ISA 84, or TÜV).
-Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems within petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas industries.
-Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), preferably Invensys/Foxboro DCS and Triconex systems.
-Proven experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of industrial control systems.
-Good working knowledge of field instrumentation, analyzers, final control elements, machinery protection systems, and electrical systems.
-Basic knowledge of reliability engineering principles.
-Experience with Fire & Gas (F&G) protection systems.
-Experience in control valve selection and sizing.
-Familiarity with DCS cybersecurity and plant IT systems (e.g., PI, Maximo).
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS systems.
-Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
