Manager, Global Communications & Stakeholder Relations – Manufacturing

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Global Communications, the Manager, Global Communications & Stakeholder Relations – Manufacturing, is directly responsible for North America leadership of Communications and Stakeholder Relations, and Global Communications business partner for the Global Manufacturing and Global Responsible Care (RC) functions. This includes providing high-quality communications support to senior Manufacturing and RC leaders.
As a valued member of the Global Communications team, the Manager requires, and actively builds, a deep understanding of manufacturing operations and Responsible Care principles to effectively support the business and advance clear, credible, and trusted communications. Working closely with the Global Communications and Stakeholder Relations teams (corporate and regional), the Manager will ensure high-quality, consistent stakeholder relations and communications across all manufacturing regions.
Position Responsibilities
Global Communications Team Member (strategy, planning, practices)
- Serves as an active participant on the Global Communications Team.
North America Communications & Stakeholder Relations Leadership
- Lead the North America Communications & Stakeholder Relations function, ensuring alignment with company policies and strategic priorities for stakeholder management, communications and government relations. Including, building the strategic plan of this function.
- Ensure consistent application of the company brand across sites and initiatives.
- Manage North America-related controlled documents, systems, and required reporting.
Communications Business Partner to Global Manufacturing and Responsible Care
- Provide strategic stakeholder relations and communications advice to senior leaders in Manufacturing and Responsible Care.
- Lead or support the development and roll-out of communication plans for global Manufacturing and Responsible Care projects and initiatives.
- Manage content for Manufacturing and RC employee-facing global internal communications channels, ensuring messaging
Position Qualifications
Education and/or Professional Designation
- Completed university degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience supporting stakeholder relations, communications, or public affairs.
Experience and Technical Skills/Knowledge
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in public affairs, stakeholder relations, communications, journalism or government relations.
- Five years of demonstrated experience leading complex work at a management or senior advisory level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Responsible Care principles or related frameworks, with demonstrated experience in stakeholder relations, outreach, and communications within manufacturing, industrial, public policy influenced environments, or a similar industry.
- Experience managing issues and crisis situations involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
