Position Summary
The Product Handling Summer Student will work under the guidance of the Supervisor and as part of a team to support the safe, efficient, and effective loading of methanol. This position is a four‑month term running from May to August 2026 and is open to students who will be returning to school upon completion of the work term.
Position Responsibilities
- Follow established procedures to safely load railcars and trucks
- Complete required documentation, data entry, and operational records
- Perform minor maintenance tasks and general housekeeping duties
- Participate in special projects and assignments as required
- Adhere to all Methanex health, safety, and environmental policies and standards
Position Qualifications
Experience and Technical Skills/Knowledge
- This position is open to candidates from all fields of study
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn additional systems as required
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License
- Successfully complete a pre-employment screening that includes a background check and medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, due to the safety sensitive nature of the position
