The Methanex methanol production facility has been a fixture in the Medicine Hat community since the mid-1970s. On Wednesday, September 23, 2015, we are opening our doors to the public for Methanex Community Day. Between noon and 7 pm, we encourage the public to visit our plant site to learn about our operations and our commitment to health and safety, the community, and the environment.

Methanex continually strives to create positive impacts in our community through our Social Responsibility Investment program. During the 2015 turnaround, our Medicine Hat site introduced Safe Days, an initiative which inspires personal ownership for safety among employees and contractors. For each day worked without a significant safety incident during Safe Days, Methanex donated $400 to three separate charitable organizations
