| Methanex is a truly global
enterprise with an international
management team that has guided its growth since Methanex
was incorporated in 1992.
Through acquisitions, mergers and construction of
production facilities, the company has built a global
methanol manufacturing and marketing organization.
Everyday, approximately
800 employees around the world work together in a global team
environment to
achieve the company’s business objectives. Methanex’s
core values of integrity, trust, respect and professionalism
have made us the preferred methanol supplier for our customers.
Our product - methanol
- can be found in everything from windshield washer fluid
to recyclable plastic bottles, plywood floors to the paint
on your walls, silicone sealants to synthetic fibres. It is
used to manufacture a fuel component that, when added to gasoline,
makes the gas burn more cleanly. Methanol is being used to
remove nitrates from municipal wastewater and in the production
of biodiesel. There are also developing markets for using
methanol in fuel blending, dimethyl ether (DME), methanol
for power generation and other applications.
