The current lower natural gas price environment in North America has made the Medicine Hat plant a competitive new supply source for Methanex’s customers and contributes local benefits and jobs to the region.

Kitimat
Methanex permanently ceased methanol production in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada on November 1, 2005.
Located on Canada's Pacific coast, Kitimat is an ice-free tidewater port. Today, Methanex uses Cenovus' terminal facility in Kitimat to import methanol to supply customers in western Canada.
