The marketing and logistics office in Waterloo, Belgium oversees the management and administration of all Methanex's sales and logistics operations in Europe. They are also responsible for customer service, Responsible Care^®, ISO, finance and accounting, and human resources management.

Logistics Capabilities

Although Methanex does not have production facilities in Europe, we have a network of storage terminals that serve as 'virtual plants' for the region. In total we have access to approximately 220 K tonnes of methanol storage located in 8 countries.

We use various size vessels to economically ship methanol from our production hubs in Chile, Trinidad and Egypt to our storage locations. From there, we distribute the product by ship, barge, rail, truck, and pipeline to our customers.
