Methanex's global Government and Public Affairs personnel work together to identify and address legislative, regulatory and political issues affecting the manufacture, marketing and use of methanol and its derivatives in our global markets.
Government and Public Affairs activities focus both on protecting existing markets for methanol and on helping develop new markets for methanol, such as opportunities in the energy sector (e.g. direct blending into transportation fuels, dimethyl ether and biodiesel).
