Making methanol around the world

Methanex is the world's largest methanol supplier with production plants located strategically around the globe in Chile, New Zealand, Trinidad & Tobago, Egypt and Canada.  These sites form our “Global Operations” function, and represent approximately three quarters of Methanex’s workforce globally.

To provide oversight and leadership to this worldwide manufacturing operation, a team of the Company’s senior site leaders meet regularly to develop the overall operations strategy and its guiding principles, with day-to-day implementation and management remaining at the regional level.  A commitment to Responsible Care^®, continuous improvement, and people and knowledge leadership, are fundamental drivers for the team in all that it does.

The Global Operations function also supports the reliable supply of methanol to Methanex’s customers by pursuing a high and predictable rate of capacity utilization of the Company’s methanol plants.  The function also supports Methanex’s growth initiatives by providing technical support as the company considers project opportunities, and once committed, by implementing projects and establishing the operating organization.
