About the Responsible Care Ethic
The following six Codes of Practice from the Canadian Chemical Producers' Association are examples of how companies are guided in the management of chemical products throughout six phases of their life cycle.

5. Distribution Code of Practice
The Distribution Code covers activities relating to the sale, movement and storage of chemicals, chemical products or services from suppliers to customers. Companies will have programs designed to reduce incidents during the distribution process and to protect people and the environment.

Risks are managed through actions taken after regular evaluations of the hazards related to storage and handling of chemicals by the company, its customers and distributors.
